Time for Change- Full Moon
January 9th, 2012 § Leave a Comment
Full moon, thank you for bringing me sleepiness and deep thoughts.
As I welcomed the first full moon of the year yesterday, I would like to start this year with change and productivity. This blog/website will become my channel for such posting of change.
With the awakening of a new year, many rush to create a physical change in their bodies. Rushing to the gym, yoga studio, diet mentors and of course vegan restaurants. But I must say, I see this year as much physical as mental modifications as any. Reaching into our minds to find the peace we would like to obtain, reading for leisure, spending time with people you want to spend time with. Mental contributions to our health will be priority for me this year. What is yours?
Creation

Setting an intention is ultimately to create something. We rule our creations by creating them. We change our perception to create something new, different, and possible. Creating an intention to lead your life.
Create something with your thoughts:
Close your eyes (where ever you are), take your eyes to the back of your mind, let the darkness sink in, be with yourself, no action, set-up a clear canvas then CREATE.
Do this exercise for 3 minutes a day and see the creativity flow through your life.

The guide to thanking your back- NY TIMES
As I walked by several restaurants today, glancing at the strangers I noticed the ‘hunch’ that we ALL have. The act of sitting up straight is in direct correspondence to our health. Balancing books on the top of our head is not ideal for the hustle of city life. When you have ‘time’ to yourself; vegging out over drinks and food is usually the way to go. A trendy tool of using a steady yoga practice as your constant reminder regarding your posture. In result, re-training the muscles to support your shoulder girdle. Core engagement to align the spine will alleviate back pain (as stated in the article above). So as I walked by those restaurants today I wanted to tap on the glass and model the rolling of the shoulders. In reality this did not happen. Consider your posture while your dine, work, play and walk. Remain healthy!

Time, we are all ruled by time. Either waking in the morning or resting our heads at night; we are controlled by the ruler. Time. We depend on the system of time to create order and schedules for the population. If there wasn’t time public services would not exists, meetings would not happen and we would live in eternal waiting. I think yogic-ally speaking, the expansion of one’s day allows for the sun to rise and fall with balance. Un-yogic-ally speaking time creates chaos, impatience, demands, rising blood pressure moments that are unhealthy. “If only we had more time in the day” or “if only this day would stop dragging” . We create this. We fill our moments by choice. We wait in the line or we dash out the door. We are contributing to time. Take a moment this weekend to turn off your phone, take off you watch, cover your clocks and relax. Remember time is there to be expanded and guide us through our days on this earth.
